Precautions: Save your mobile from a damage

Mobile has become a necessity in the modern world. With all time usage, it is prone to damage and hence, we need to be careful in handling it.

Here are the tips to help you on precautions as well as what you should do if such a damage occurs:

1. Buy and install a sturdy drop-resistant case and a screen protector tempered glass.
2. Don’t expose your phone to heat for a longer duration. Avoid keeping it near fire and directly under scorching sunlight.
3. Don’t drop your phone in water. Keep it away or safe when you’re exposed to water.
4. Never run your phone on an exhausted battery.
5. If phone is very expensive, buy extended warranties.
6. Backup your mobile data regularly. You can use any cloud network, such as Samsung Cloud, or Google Drive, from the ‘Settings’, or store the data in your local computer using charging cable and software such as ‘Smart Switch’ for Samsung and so on.
7. In the case of water exposure, take the phone out of water as soon as possible, switch off your mobile, remove the battery (if possible) and let the phone dry for some time before you insert the battery and switch it on again.
8. Never use any drying device like hair dryers when the phone is exposed to water. Dry it with a soft cloth gently (don’t rub) and dry at room temperature only.
9. Even if your phone is damaged, there is a high chance that you can retrieve your data. If the screen is broken and the display is not available, connect your phone to PC via a USB cable. Alternatively, you can connect it via OTG cable. If nothing works, you still can retrieve your data with the help of a service professional. Therefore, don’t worry and act immediately.
